Pets are always genuine, sharing their love and appreciation, as well as their displeasure and impatience openly. Being of service to my clients who love their pets as family members brings me a lot of satisfaction.

I grew up with dogs primarily, and although I have an older brother, I found myself alone much of the time with my favorite companions being my dogs who sat by me through all my teenage angst. While in college I found a job at my family veterinarian who I had not visited since my childhood dog had passed away. I got my first job as a vet with one of her classmates. I eventually bought his practice which I operated for 15 years before selling and going back to work with my first employer.

I enjoy not knowing what my day will bring. Every day is different and an adventure. My veterinary interests are working with and treating exotic pets, they are challenging, but unique to treat. I also think that pain management and end of life issues are very important. Each pet is an individual and needs to be treated for their specific ailments differently. Oncology is another one of my interests. I know many of these patients pass away from their disease, but I like to be there to give them relief from their pain and being supportive to their families.
